Jyden Bur A/S delivers record-breaking results – new strategy is working

For the financial year 2018 the company has delivered a historically high profit level.

After a year of increased export to China and several other international markets, Jyden Bur A/S presents the best financial result in many years. The operating profit is 15.0 million DKK and the net profit for the year reaches 11.3 million DKK after taxes and financial costs.

- We are proud to say that we have been able to unite our global efforts with a very strong financial performance. It gives us an amazing starting point to grow from over the next years and it is achieved by a professional organization that has done a very good job, says chairman of the board, Niels Dengsø Jensen.

The increased income is particularly due to a profitable export to China, as well as other markets where the company has established a strong foothold.

- Because of our geographical location we are privileged, that the strong values of Danish agriculture give us a quality stamp around the world. That is why we have succeeded with our new strategy. Export is an important part of it, and for that reason it is uplifting to see how our efforts to increase our international focus has paid off, the chairman explains.

The turnover of the company has grown with 18% in the financial year of 2018, and at the same time the number of employees has increased through the establishment of the Chinese subsidiary, as well as a minor increase in Denmark.

- We have delivered better results in every aspect and we can see that our strategy is working. That gives us some peace of mind, but it doesn’t mean that we are slowing down. We are still very focused on staying on track with the development in the coming years, with improved focus on our customers and expanding our market presence, says CEO Jens Agergaard, and highlights, that the profit will be used to develop the company further.

- Product development is the core of our business, and I am delighted that high income and investment in strong solutions of recycled materials and product design for better animal welfare goes hand in hand, says Jens Agergaard.
